Stream at the base of Mount Washington

Here's quick sketch I did from a photo of mine of a stream at the beginning of the trail up Mount Washington. I'm going to do a larger one of this same little waterfall.

Gold River

This is from a photo I took in New Hampshire over the thanksgiving weekend. It's 18x24 inches. The trees behind the stream had yellow leaves and the sun was hitting them and reflecting into the water... it was very pretty!

Finished Eagle Rock

Ok here's the big version of the welsford barn that I posted earlier. This one is about 19x25 inches. I know the picture isn't great. Trust me though, it looks better in real life! :)

Playing around with my kitchen stuff

Well yesterday I was sick and tired of drawing stuff from pictures, so I plonked some of my kitchen things down on the coffee table and started drawing. This was super fun... the metal and the glass stuff I used presented interesting challenges. The first one is of my cocktail shaker, shot glass, and electric beaters. I like parts of it but I messed up the composition slightly and the shaker looks more gold coloured than silver. Oh well. This second one is my new favorite of all the pastels that I've done. I really like the composition, and how the glass reads. Plus I think I did a pretty good job drawing it all, so it looks believable. Yay! :) This shot is slightly blurry, but this is what the colours actually look like. This picture of it is less blurry, but the camera really picked up on the blues so the colours are a little off from real life.

Welsford barn sketch

I'm planning on doing a large (18x24 inch) pastel of the field and barn in welsford with sheep in it. Here's a smaller (9x12) semi-sketch of what the barn portion of the large picture will look like.

Finished Andalusian

Well I'm sick of diddling with this one, so it's as done as it's going to get.
